We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Bindery and Warehouse Helper to join our dynamic team.
Job Description: As a Bindery and Warehouse Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our printing company. You will work closely with our bindery team, providing assistance in various bindery tasks, while also handling warehouse activities. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and operation of bindery equipment, such as folders, cutters, collators, and stitchers.
- Perform quality checks on printed materials to ensure they meet specifications.
- Assist in the trimming, folding, cutting, and collating of printed materials.
- Prepare and package finished products for shipment, ensuring accurate labeling and proper packaging techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse area, including inventory management.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming materials, checking for accuracy and quality.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move and store materials.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a printing company or bindery environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with bindery equipment and processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and the ability to follow them diligently.
